Hi,
I’m a Certified Functional Medicine Health Coach who helps busy women in perimenopause renew their metabolism and rebuild their health, through lifestyle changes that are simple and sustainable.
I’m Archana Anand.

My Story
If you had asked 10-year-old me what I wanted to do with my life, I would have told you that I was going to be a doctor. But my 20-year journey to discover my calling took a few surprise turns!

I’ve always been fascinated by the science of health, but chose engineering because I was unable to stomach the idea of dissecting animals for Biology class. I spent 17 years building a thriving career as an electronics engineer before walking away from it in order to pursue my passion: helping people empower themselves to live their best and healthiest lives.
Growing up in India, I was raised by parents who believed in the power of plant-based foods to nourish the body and of home remedies and alternative therapies when the body needed extra support. This is an approach that has helped me in my own health journey—and it has helped my family as well.
In 2007, my son was diagnosed with infant leukemia when he was just nine months old. He underwent a year of chemotherapy and rebuilding his health became a primary focus of my family. A few years later, my daughter developed severe eczema and croup, as well as a peanut allergy.
Through holistic lifestyle changes, I was able to improve the health of my children—and this was a major turning point in my outlook toward wellness. I went back to school to learn about holistic health coaching and functional medicine, earned the first of my several certifications, and began coaching as a hobby on evenings and weekends.
I fell totally in love with connecting with people, listening to their stories, making a difference in their life, and giving back to the world in my own way!
I’ve found that being a health coach actually has a lot in common with engineering. In addition to intuition and creativity, achieving the health that you want requires some puzzle-solving, which plays nicely with the logical, analytical part of my brain that has always been dominant! I can confidently say this is what motivated me to get to the root of the health challenges my family and I faced.

My Approach
My coaching approach blends the traditional with the scientific. I believe in food as medicine. I enjoy digging deeply into the science behind effective lifestyle shifts. I have a healthy respect for Western medicine and I also believe that nature can be a pretty effective doctor! We experience our most vibrant health when we are open to using all of the tools at our disposal and focus on a root cause approach.
