Looking for a treat that satisfies your sweet tooth and supports your hormones? These fudgy tahini brownies are exactly that. They’re rich, gooey, and packed with ingredients that nourish your body, especially during perimenopause.
Tahini brings healthy fats, magnesium, calcium, and iron to the table. And with a scoop of vanilla protein powder added in, this recipe becomes a legit hormone-friendly snack, not just dessert.
Why you’ll love these:
Naturally gluten-free and dairy-optional
Higher in protein to support metabolism
Made with blood sugar-friendly ingredients
Perfect for that 4 PM energy crash or post-dinner sweet craving
Ingredients:
1 cup tahini
½ cup maple syrup
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 scoop vanilla protein powder
⅓ cup cocoa powder
½ tsp baking soda
¼ tsp salt
⅓ cup chocolate chips (I used Trader Joe’s semi-sweet)
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a loaf pan with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, whisk together tahini, maple syrup, eggs, vanilla, and melted chocolate chips until smooth.
Stir in cocoa powder, protein powder, baking soda, and salt. Batter will be thick
Pour batter into prepared loaf pan and smooth the top. Top with more chocolate chips, if desired.
Bake for 20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out mostly clean.
Let them cool completely in the pan before slicing into bars.
Store at room temperature for 2–3 days in an airtight container. For longer storage, keep in the fridge.
Enjoy every fudgy bite and your hormones (and your taste buds) will thank you!
